The smell of sheep in the air-
On my trip up to M-town up in the far northern part of the country we purchased 10 sheep. Actually our office manager picked them out and made a three day trip to bring them back here. You may ask why sheep? Well, there are sheep in the area but many of them are very small and give very little milk, plus there has been too much inbreeding. It is out goal to raise breeding stock and cross bread this Turkish breed of sheep with the local sheep. The Turkish sheep are a very large breed of sheep some weighing close to 200 pounds. The families then can also use the milk to from the sheep to help supplement diets which are very low in protein. The taking care of sheep are not as easy as I thought that they would be. The first few days after arriving, we had to weigh them, calculate age and treat them for worms. One of the biggest problems that I can see is the smell. The smell of sheep gets on my clothes, now my castle smells like sheep. It is quite a strong smell that does not come off easy. So praise the Lord for sheep and rebuke Satan for the smell.
